FO! Baby Blanket

It needs the ends woven in, but the "Be Mine" baby blanket is done! The pattern called for 31 1/2" wide x 42" long, with the checkerboard border on all sides; I "downsized" it to a 27" square with the checkerboard on the start/finish ends only. It's certainly big enough for a wrap-up or to drape over a carseat/carrier, I think, and it's very cute and soft!

Today didn't run quite according to plan (does it ever?), I ended up doing a fair bit of housework alongside my frighteningly-motivated hubby. Now our kitchen, living room, and dining room are all clean, tidy, and presentable. No small achievement! And we got groceries, had a visit with Sandy&Dan (go Bears!), and had a lovely stir-fry for dinner. I even baked brownies.

Now, time for a bath and bed. It's been a Good Day. Look! A blankie!

Nice blanket!!! I guess I really WILL Have to persevere with circular needles *sigh*.

Actually, I did this one on 14" straight bamboo needles - and one of the needles has a scuff in it, so it kept catching on the fuzzy. ARGH! Would have been easier on an Addi Turbo, but that size was occupied. :)

Try balancing them on your lap, it's easier to manage, I find.

Okay, my curiosity is piqued. I want to see the WIP stash rubbermaid. Is that wrong? I'm noooosy.

Way to go on the inventory, btw. That's great for planning. All of my yarn could probably fit in one good-sized Rubbermaid underbed box. Sigh. But I'm building. Oh yes I am. :)

Oh dear... I'm afraid if I took them all out of the bin again, I'd get discouraged! Probably about 20 WIPs/UFOs in there, all told. And what did I do last night? Cast on for mittens! Oops... ah well, at least they're from stash!
