Next year (next summer), Peter and I are taking a REAL vacation - the first one we've had in about oh... six years? We are going to drive out to Gibsons BC and back, and the plan is to have it coincide with the Gibsons Fiber Festival. When we first got together, and for the longest time when we were dating, we spent loads of time just bombing around the back roads, driving here and there - then we did a road trip down East so I could show Peter my old stomping grounds, and now this will be about double the length of that trip. Suffice to say, we love spending time driving together!
Of course there are many things to be arranged in the meantime - vacation time to accrue and book off, a new(er) vehicle (that's the biggie, but we'll figure something out) that will be road-worthy for the trip, and then we will pack our little bags and boogie!
It's a year away, and I'm already excited. This. Will. Happen.

That sounds wonderful. Dear hubby has been to B.C., but I haven't. Would love to go!
