Robb came to bed at about 2am, and both the baby and I were gently awake (nighttime feedings, hoorah /snore) so he told us, and I remember just coming full awake and wanting to cry. George Carlin was the first comedian I ever loved; I saw Jammin' in New York when I was about 12, and it was...formative.
We were floored as well. I bought tickets for his February 2002 show as a present for my husband when he was here in Ottawa then. I found some of his stuff funny (but then again, I was pregnant and didn't find much funny then), but my husband was very happy of have had the opportunity to see one of his comedic heroes.
