Please come back in... October. Yeah, about 2 months of sunshine would be nice after all this rain. Now, don't misunderstand, I love a rainy night (thank you, Eddie Rabbitt), but day after day after day of cold and damp mornings followed by showery afternoons and thunderstorm evenings is really starting to suck the fun out of the summer. Not to mention making it darn difficult to get laundry done, with no dryer!
Anyway, it is Thursday and the weekend looms ahead - last weekend despite my best intentions, I got very little productive done (but did accomplish a heckuvalot in Warcraft). This weekend, assuming I'm not in a thunderstorm-induced fetal migraine ball as I've been most evenings this week, I want to Get Stuff Done. What stuff specifically, I don't know... I'll figure that out later. Definitely some knitting, though, I haven't had the mental capacity to knit since last Saturday and I think that's contributing to my overall crustiness (weather, work, and other irritations are also contributing, but such is life).
Also, it's 2 weeks to the Summer Games and I have decided NOT to do the Ravelympics after all; firstly because our planned vacation just got cancelled (long story, administrative error but c'est la vie) and secondly because I really want to finish the Adagio Shawl for Carole in time for her birthday in August, so putting it on hold for 2 weeks doesn't really seem smart. Adagio is lovely, but it's very slow knitting. I really must take some pictures! It's very pretty in the striped Marble.
Thursday... I never could get the hang of Thursdays!
