It's early!

Not Spring, that's taking it's sweet time about getting here - one day warm, one day cold. No, what's early is this:

According to Chapters website, it's not released until tomorrow, but it arrived in my mailbox today! Woohoo! So I know what I'm doing this evening - not knitting.

However, last evening (and the one prior) I was knitting, and last night I finished this shawl (artfully displayed with the Book, a lamp, and a pile of clean ashtrays on the dining room table):

It's the standard triangle recipe, in Fleece Artist "Dreadlocks", 78% Kid Mohair, 13% Wood, 9% Nylon. 180m of really BIG boucle, knit on a 15mm Addi circ. The yarn calls for a 12mm but I don't have a 12mm circ, so nyah. There it is. The colours look close to right in these pictures - reddish brown and green and brown. Kind of muddy spring earth colours, forest-y like. Fun to knit although I did on a few occasions mistake a loop of boucle for a stitch! Still, fast knitting - I think the whole thing took about 5 hours max. And now I'm out of Fleece Artist, except for the socks-in-progress for Mom and the Sea Silk that's waiting for me to learn to read lace charts so it can become a big beautiful lace shawl.

So now I can go read the new Book. Bye!
